At Targus®, sustainability is integral to how we operate – from the products we make to the supply chain that brings them to customers around the world. As we continue our journey toward a net zero future, we are proud of the meaningful progress that our company has made this past year across circular product design, packaging improvements, and transparent emissions reporting.
Our 2026 Global Sustainability Report offers an in-depth look at the actions we have taken, the results we have achieved, and the direction we are heading. It showcases new innovations in product development and packaging, strengthened measurement of our environmental footprint, and priorities shaping our roadmap through 2030 and beyond. It also explores the five UN Sustainable Development Goals that shape our efforts and long-term objectives.
This year’s edition highlights several milestones – from expanded circular materials in our EcoSmart® portfolio to notable gains in packaging recyclability, and stronger third-party certifications and measurement. Below is a closer look at the key highlights from our 2026 Sustainability Report.
2026 Sustainability Highlights
EcoSmart® impact: Targus has now recycled more than 53 million plastic bottles into EcoSmart bags and tech accessories – avoiding over 3 million lbs. of CO₂ compared to virgin plastic. The line also now includes EcoSmart docking stations made with 75% recycled post-consumer plastics and aluminum, alongside premium, eco engineered laptop cases like our HeritageLuxe™ executive backpack.
Packaging progress: We have now achieved the key goal of making 95% of our packaging fully recyclable, with an average of 50% made from recycled or compostable materials. We have also eliminated problematic single use plastics across packaging.
Stronger reporting and certifications: Targus holds an EcoVadis Bronze Rating – placing our company among the top 35% of companies globally. We have also achieved Walmart Project Gigaton™ Giga Guru status for the third consecutive year for leadership in supply chain emissions reduction.
Transparent measurement of our carbon footprint: We continued rigorous reporting across Scope 1, Scope 2, and measured Scope 3 emissions, including a location based Scope 2 reduction from 134 Mt CO₂e (2023) to 100 Mt CO₂e (2025) through efficiency and renewable energy initiatives. *
